Basel's carnival is the largest and most popular festival in Switzerland, with 15,000 to 20,000 visitors participating in the festival, and each participant will wear a mask during the festival. The carnival opens on the Monday after Ash Wednesday. In the early morning, when the clock hands point to 4, groups of flute players and drummers put on their festive costumes and masks with small headlights in a noisy manner. In the dim light of the small headlights, they play festive music while wandering in the city center that has not yet awakened from the night. 
As the largest and most famous carnival in Switzerland, it is listed as an intangible cultural heritage of the United Nations.
• It opens with the lantern parade of "Morgestraich" at 4 o'clock in the morning and lasts for three days and three nights. Features include "Guggenmusik" bands, humorous and satirical masks and float parades.

There is a sundial time on the wall outside the Basel Cathedral. This church can be seen to have a very long history. The more unique thing is that behind the church is a highland, next to the Rhine River. It is a good place to relax and rest.
