This year marks the 
10th anniversary of Operation UNIFIER
, Canada’s military training and capacity-building mission in support of Ukraine. To commemorate this milestone, we invite you to join an in-person panel event bringing together veterans, defense experts, policymakers, and members of the public for an evening of reflection, dialogue, and forward thinking.
The panel will explore what Operation UNIFIER has achieved over the past decade, drawing on the lived experiences of those who have served and supported the mission. It will also examine how Canada’s approach to international security is evolving—particularly in light of emerging defense technologies such as drones—and what lessons can be drawn from the Ukrainian context.
This event is more than a retrospective. It is an opportunity to reaffirm the values that have shaped Canada’s ongoing support for Ukraine: solidarity, peace, innovation, and resilience. By bringing these conversations to a public audience, we hope to honor the people behind the mission while opening space for critical reflection on what lies ahead.

Ukrainian War Veterans Association of Canada
, the event reflects NAOC’s commitment to informed public dialogue, education, and transatlantic cooperation. It also aligns with our mission to strengthen connections across military, diplomatic, academic, and technological communities.
We welcome a broad audience: veterans and active service members, members of the Ukrainian-Canadian community, diplomats, policymakers, students, and professionals in defense and tech. The evening will combine thoughtful discussion with opportunities for connection and exchange, emphasizing both the human dimension of Canada’s military engagement and the innovative tools shaping its future.
