Experience an immersive evening of artmaking with teaching artist Thomas Pilnik at the oceanfront workshop space of the Long Beach Museum of Art. Delve into the profound nature of our hands, which serve as a conduit for both vulnerability and empowerment. From their rugged textures to their nourishing capabilities, our hands possess the power to create, connect, and conquer.
Join Thomas Martinez Pilnik and the Long Beach Museum of Art in a captivating session where you will work with clay to construct personalized ceramic representations of your hands. With Pilnik's guidance, you will explore the artistry and technique of hand-building while expressing your unique interpretation of this symbolic form. Once completed, your hand-built terracotta sculpture will be glazed and fired by Pilnik for you to collect at a later date.

Regardless of your artistic background, all materials will be provided, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience.
