Warwickshire’s Country Parks Ranger Service offer a range of exciting outdoor, wildlife and adventure themed parties, set in two of Warwickshire’s beautiful Country Parks for children aged 3+. All the wildlife activity equipment and activity materials needed for the parties is provided and set up. Please email us after booking with your activity choice from the list below, the child's name the child's age contact phone number to parks@warwickshire.gov.uk 1: Wild woods 3yrs + Have some fun in the woods! Try our mud painting, making homes for woodland animals, discovery digging and creating mud pies. These activities are based on Forest Schools principles. 2: Dens 5yrs + Take on the team challenge of buildings a den in the woods. Can you camouflage it? Will it stand up? Will it be waterproof? Come and have a go! 3: Pond dipping (April-October) 5yrs + Take a closer look into our pond and discover the weird and wonderful creatures that live there. Use our dipping nets, trays, magnifying pots and guides to catch and identity what is about. 4: Minibeast hunting (April–October) 5yrs + Take a closer look into our long grass, on trees and bushes and under logs and discover the weird and wonderful creatures that live there. Are you fast enough to catch a centipede and how far can a froghopper jump? Use our nets, magnifiers and trays to see what we can find hiding away from us. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS : CHILDRENS PARTIES 1. What’s included? • Your chosen activity. • Ranger and all the equipment required to undertake the activity. • Use of the party room after the activity until the end of your slot (you may bring your own food). • Hot water urn and washing up facilities. • 3hrs free car parking for the organiser & guests (your ranger on the day will give you your parking passes for 9:30am to 12:30. If you wish to stay longer after your party you will need to purchase a pay and display ticket for your remaining duration). 2. How do I choose the activity? Please email us your activity choice after booking to parks@warwickshire.gov.uk. Please ensure you tell us the date of your party! 3. The ranger will take the lead in running all parties, but it is the adult making the booking who has responsibility for the children. Due to the unique nature of our outdoor parties and the type of activities that we offer, adults staying to help are expected to join in with the activity and help where needed (e.g. helping children to collect natural materials for den building etc.). 5. How many adults do I need to bring? Ratios: We require the following adult to child ratios (not including the ranger) 1 adult to 5 children 6. How long is the party? 2 hrs. The first hour is your chosen activity hosted by the ranger. You can use the party room in the second hour for your food and games. 7. How many children can I bring? Up to 20 children. 8. How much does it cost? £150 per 2 hour party session. 9. When do I need to pay? Full payment is required when making your booking on Eventbrite. 10. Will I get my money back if I cancel? It depends how long before the party that you cancel. Please see the booking terms and conditions. 11. How many adults do I need to bring? We require the following adult to child ratios to ensure safety, 1 adult to 5 children (not including the ranger). 12. Can I bring younger siblings? Younger siblings of the birthday boy or girl are welcome at the party, please count them in the 20. Activities involve going outside, children need to be suitably dressed for all weathers. 14. What happens if it’s really bad weather? We may have to alter your outside activity if the weather is really bad, but we will do our utmost to carry on, or provide an indoor activity (if possible). Campfire popcorn and dens Join the rangers to pop your own popcorn around the campfire and build your own den. Sugar, salt and honey will be provided for toppings but feel free to bring any of your own! This event is suitable for children aged 6 and above . An adult to child ratio of 1 adult to 3 children is required due to the nature of the event. All children on a children's event must be accompanied by an adult or over 18 and must not be left unsupervised. Please ensure you dress for the weather. Follow a spooky trail from the Visitor's centre up to our Woodlands at dusk (bring a torch) where you will meet the rangers who will have a campfire jacket potato waiting for you as well as some other halloween treats. Beans and cheese will be provided as potato toppings but feel free to bring other toppings of your choosing too! T his is an event for families with children aged 5+ and all attendees must have a ticket. Please note that the only seating available in our woodland area are logs so you are welcome to bring camping chairs with you if you would prefer. Get into the Christmas spirit with your very own, hand-made rustic Rudolph! This course will give you the know-how and guide you through the process of making a rustic wooden reindeer. Being full of character it can sit proudly in your garden or home. No two reindeer are the same and yours will be personal to you. The event will have a fun and laid back feel to it so why not come along and have a go! The event coordinators will guide you through safe tool use and be on hand to help you if you get into any difficulties. This course is suitable for people aged 16+.
