A unique experience for visitors and locals in this 20th anniversary year of the Tower! Climb 202 steps to the top of the St Edmundsbury Cathedral tower, completed in 2005 as part of the Cathedral's Millennium Project. Find out about the building of the tower, the crafts and materials involved. Our experienced guides will take you behind the scenes and share the building's secrets. Be ready for fantastic views from the top too, including the town and Abbey Gardens. Don't forget your camera! Tour dates are released a month at a time - approx two weeks before the start of the month; i.e. bookable dates for May will be released mid-April. Please check back accordingly. Dining Rituals is a curated dining event, with a focus on the systems and rituals of communal feasting. We consider the menu as a score for the evening, punctuated by spoken toasts and objects. Through textual interventions Dining Rituals draws attention to the ephemeral experience of eating. The gestures within the communal dining space are transcribed into material objects. Influenced by the Glasgow School of Art’s ephemera collection , these objects and accompanying texts bring cohesion to the meal, allowing participants to reflect on the sequencings, languages, and gestures present at the dinner table.  You will get ten plates of seasonal vegetarian food, along with hand-printed ephemeral items to take home.
