Join artist Helene Oberman as she leads a series of engaging and informative workshops on portraiture, figure drawing, and painting at the prestigious Duldig Studio Museum & Sculpture Garden in East Malvern, VIC. Each session delves into different aspects of portraiture, figure drawing, and painting, allowing you to build your skills and explore your artistic potential. You'll even have the chance to draw from life models, adding an extra dimension to your artwork.
The workshops take place in the inspiring setting of the Duldig Studio Gallery, where you can draw inspiration from the latest exhibition, "Drawn from the Collection: Highlights and Hidden Gems." This exhibition showcases the diverse art forms, styles, materials, processes, and techniques explored by renowned artists Karl & Slawa Horowitz-Duldig throughout their successful careers.
In addition to the workshops, participants will have the opportunity to tour The Duldig Studio museum and sculpture garden, gaining insight into the lives and work of Karl Duldig and Slawa Horowitz-Duldig.
Classes are limited to a maximum of 10 participants to ensure a personalized and enriching experience. Please bring your own materials, including a hardback A4 or A3 sketch pad suitable for pencil work and charcoal, kneadable eraser, and 2B, 4B, and 6B pencils. Feel free to bring any other materials you're comfortable with as well.

Helene Oberman, a highly skilled and experienced artist, will lead these workshops. With over 40 years of experience in the arts and education, Helene has exhibited her work locally and internationally, earning prestigious art prizes and critical acclaim. Her focus on plein air art and the stories within landscapes provides a unique perspective and inspiration for her paintings, printmaking, and photography.
Helene has also taught art painting and drawing at all levels, including tertiary tafe and adult education classes. She has conducted professional learning for educators and presented at numerous conferences in Australia and internationally.
