Vocal runs and soaring guitar solos are the crown jewels of a modern blues band taken over by Queen reincarnate, including a front man whose presence transcends. The Palace’s loyal following routinely packs in the largest independent venues Indianapolis has to offer as their presence spreads in places like WonderRoad or All IN Festivals in 2022. You can listen to their debut album Rainbow Shades on Spotify (or whereever you get your music) Linktree FEVERDREAM. FEVERDREAM.’s music has percussive, driving rhythms that are accompanied with well-timed vocal melodies and intentionally placed lead patterns. The result is a fun indie rock sound with catchy leads and a meaningful story to tell. The lyrics and the stories behind them carry themes of relationship, growth, loss, healing, self-care, awareness, and change that listeners can identify with. Linktree JOSHUA POWELL Joshua Powell is the exhausted wizard at the helm of IN’s most haunted rock band. From his hardcore roots in the Floridian swamps and beyond the fever dream of his folk era, his literary lyrics dig for enlightenment in a surrealist muck. “Four LP’s and over 900 shows later, the midwestern road dog’s ever-evolving, transcendent style embraces hallucinatory metal and grimy psychedelia.” -Audiotree Linktree MFFRED With over two decades of experience as a songwriter and performer, Fred has developed a unique sound that fuses groove-heavy rhythms, soulful melodies, and experimental textures. Rooted in the independent music scenes of the Midwest, Fred’s performances are both intimate and electrifying, whether delivering raw, heartfelt solo sets or leading high-energy collaborations with other artists. Website FORGOTTEN TRIBE Forgotten Tribe is a band representing diversity and unity in the best way possible: through musical arts. Starting back in 2012, brothers Khiry Jurrell (Lead Singer, Guitarist, Trumpeter) and General Spazz (Producer/Bassist) began making music in their bedroom using an HP laptop and a janky black radio to produce and record their songs. The two brothers had a vision to create diverse sounds in their music and be as original as possible—producing and composing their art from scratch. When 2020 came along, they went on creating music in a live band movement accompanied by their new talented friends Ocho (12-String Guitarist), Omar (Melodica/Keys), Luke (Guitarist), and Ray (Drums). They all strive to bring people of all backgrounds together with their diverse music based in Reggae, Cumbia, Hip-Hop/Soul, and other Latin fusion additions. It’s been about four years now together and the music is growing, with goals set high to be great musicians wherever they are playing for the people. Music is the key in their approach to expressing themselves and their identities. More Music! Linktree THE MOONTOWN PICKLE STOMPERS he Moontown Pickle Stompers are a high-energy jazz and blues ensemble dedicated to reviving and celebrating the rich musical traditions of rural Indiana and the broader Midwest. Our sound and style come from an era when jazz was norm-breaking and rebellious. We play it that way. Many recognize our music from their grandparents’ generation, even if they’ve never heard it performed live. Our mix of pre-1940s music is unparalleled, evoking nostalgia while remaining fresh and exciting. Instagram , Facebook , Spotify --------------------- NOTE FROM THE ORGANIZER: I first caught wind of The Palace in 2019 or 2020. Seeing them perform is always a very special and intimate experience. I wanted to match that feeling to a place.. a place that felt more intimate than a bar or music venue. So in 2021--we had the 1st Palace in the Backyard Event. I have seen The Palace perform so many times now and they NEVER disappoint. The energy they bring is soulful, raw, and free, so seeing these guys live is always a real treat. If you don't know The Palace and you haven't seen them live yet, here's your chance! If you have seen The Palace, we'll see ya there! --Forrest Information Source: Forrest Campbell | eventbrite

Taught by working industry professionals, this three-part series demystifies what it actually takes to get hired as a Production Assistant (PA), how to succeed once you're on set, and how to build a reputation that keeps you booked. Whether you’re brand new to film or looking to sharpen your skills, you'll walk away with real-world knowledge, industry contacts, and a clear plan of action. You'll hear from Alexis Doan , Rachel Murphy, and Lauryn Zimmerman plus other industry pros. What You’ll Learn: How to find and land your first PA gig What production companies are really looking for in new crew members The essential gear and wardrobe every PA should bring Soft skills and mindset shifts that set you apart on day one Real talk from experienced local crew who’ve “made it” behind the scenes Why It Matters: You only get one chance to make a first impression on set. Learn how to show up prepared, professional, and ready to contribute from day one. This series is ideal for: Aspiring PAs looking for their first set experience Early-career filmmakers wanting to round out their knowledge Students and creatives exploring behind-the-camera roles Anyone seeking a foot in the door in Indiana’s growing film industry About the Speakers Rachel Murphy is a seasoned production professional with over 20 years of experience in commercial and film production. She began her creative journey with a degree in Fine Art Photography from Indiana University’s Herron School of Art, later discovering her passion for motion storytelling. Rachel has produced national, regional, and local advertising campaigns for two decades. In the past ten years, she has expanded her focus to narrative filmmaking, driven by a deep love for storytelling and a strong desire to take on the creative and logistical challenges of film. Her recent film credits include line producing the features Runner, Between Waves and So Cold the River, as well as several short films including Hide & Seek, The Passenger, Through the Window, and As We Begin. She has produced commercial campaigns for brands including State Farm, Meta, IU Health, and others. Alexis Doan is a production assistant and visual creative with over three years of experience in photography, videography, and commercial production. Based in Indianapolis, Alexis has worked on sets for national campaigns with brands including State Farm, Gatorade, and Nike. Prior to entering the production industry, Alexis spent two years in corporate sales and marketing, bringing a strong foundation in brand strategy and client communication. Alexis holds a B.S. in Marketing and International Business from Indiana University and combines creative execution with business acumen to support directors, producers, and crew with adaptability and professionalism. It takes a strong person to deal with high schoolers on the regular. Lauryn Zimmerman did it for four years. And even when she did leave the education world, it wasn’t the overly involved parents that drove her out but rather a creative longing that guided her toward video production. Which, to be honest, wasn’t that surprising. The truth is, Lauryn grew up as an “industry kid.” While some of us were dragged to corporate offices for Take Your Daughter to Work Day, Lauryn headed to her dad’s video production studio to hang out with other professionals, cameras, and learn a lot of creative jargon. Over the next summer, she dove even deeper into video production and never left. “The combination of organization, scheduling, and creativity in video production was perfect for me. I could not have made a better decision to change my life path.As someone who’s not afraid to take charge, people and clients like working with Lauryn." Clients like Apple, Microsoft, MasterCard, IU Health, Sony, Gatorade, the NFL, and Indiana’s favorite sitcom Parks and Recreation, to name a few.
