I've got a terrible feeling about this show. Like somehow the whole thing is doomed. I have this recurring dream where I'm on stage, thousands of miles from home and the crowd has turned on me. There are thousands of them and they are all booing me and Sofia Vergara (from Modern Family) is there and so is Simon Cowell and he’s slamming his fist into a red buzzer and the sound splits the air like a gunshot and the ceiling rips open and confetti rains down like debris but the booing only gets louder and louder and louder and louder and then I wake up, and realise that all of that actually happened to me. This show has nothing to do with that story. I doubt I'll even mention it. Si a Per acabar amb “Eddy Bellegueule” retratava l'assetjament viscut a l’escola i l’homofòbia omnipresent de la manera més crua i a Història de la violència recreava un intent de violació i assassinat que va patir l’any 2012, a Qui va matar el meu pare Louis uneix un cop més realitat i política, a partir del personatge del seu pare, un home alcoholitzat que s’està en una cadira de rodes des que va patir un accident laboral. El visita un cop més després d’una absència llarga i, a partir d’aquesta visita, rememora la vida familiar i es pregunta d’una manera poc complaent, però també amb tendresa, quin paper han tingut les condicions sociopolítiques i les retallades socials en la vida del seu progenitor i de tants d’altres com ell. Dirigeix el muntatge Pau Roca, actor i director, que va crear el 2013 la productora Sixto Paz, amb la qual ha passat pel Grec Festival de Barcelona en les edicions de l’any 2017 (Tender Napalm); 2019 (Así bailan las putas); 2021 (Salvació total imminent immediata terrestre i col·lectiva), i 2023 (Bèsties).
