Join the 3 hour Salsa Workshop: Footwork, Body Movement & Musicality in Bangor at Canolfan Brailsford. This workshop is an excellent opportunity to practice the fundamentals of footwork and body movement while exploring different rhythms to enhance your salsa dancing skills. Throughout the workshop, you will delve into the creative aspects of salsa, such as body movement and marking various rhythms in the music with unique footwork combinations. We will closely examine the different rhythms in salsa music, focusing on footwork patterns and body movement to develop your musicality. Additionally, we will perfect the basic fundamentals, including posture, weight transfer, basic steps, and timing. This workshop is ideal for those who have danced salsa for a few months and are comfortable with the basics. If you are a complete beginner, we encourage you to attend a few Thursday nights at Salsa Bangor before joining our workshops. The goal of this workshop is to improve your existing skills, explore movement, and have fun through dedicated practice. Please arrive a few minutes early to ensure a prompt start. Remember to wear comfortable sportswear and dancing shoes. Bring a snack and plenty to drink. No partner is necessary as the focus will be on individual footwork and body movement.
