Money: Uplevelling - Free Event We all have a relationship with money. Some of us have a lot of hesitation, fears, doubts, insecurities, questions around worthiness. Some of us feel excited and empowered around it. This can have an impact on what we ask for, if we ask for more, whether we negotiate at all, how we save and/or spend. The goal of this workshop is to uplevel our thoughts, perceptions and actions when it comes to money. This workshop is part of Low Entropy Foundation's Women Rising Program . Women Rising is an empowerment and leadership program for women and gender diverse individuals. She has worked with clients in a range of industries and professional roles, from policing to finance, supporting her clients in moving up the ladder of their own lives and work into greater success and happiness. Prior to becoming a coach, she ratcheted up the ladder at St. Joseph Media and Communications to become a young magazine editor at four of their most profitable titles, then segued into communications consulting until discovering coaching as her favourite way to make an impact. Beginner Bike Skills is a HUB Cycling course for adults who have not yet learned to ride a bike or lack the basic handling skills or confidence to cycle for urban transportation. This small group 2-hour course occurs completely off-road, in a safe and comfortable environment for new riders. Under the guidance of our experienced instructors, participants will practice fundamental bike handling skills such as balance, braking, steering, and pedaling. Beginner Bike Skills course includes: 2 hours of instruction led by certified instructors Basic bike fitting and safety checks, as well as progressive activities to build fundamental skills and confidence. 1:6 instructor-to-participant ratio to ensure lots of 1 on 1 attention and personalized feedback Participants must be 18+ to participate in accordance. Douglas Colleges makes no representations or warranties to teams and players regarding any safety or other risks associated with participation in the Activities, and does not accept responsibility or liability for the Risks. All participation in the Activities is voluntary and players who choose to participate do so at their own risk and through their participation voluntarily agree to assume these risks. By registering for Activities that take place on Douglas College lands, buildings or facilities, registering coaches or school/institution representatives undertake on behalf of their clubs, schools or institutions (each a “Participating Organization”) to carefully review the Risks with their players (and, in the case of minors, with their parent/guardians), and to take all reasonable steps to prevent foreseeable Risks, including through proper instruction, supervision, enforcing appropriate standards of conduct, safeguarding player personal property and ensuring players are medically fit and able to safely participate in the Activities. As a term of registration for the above Activity, the Participating Organization agrees that (a) to the fullest extent permitted by law, Douglas College shall not be liable to the Participating Organization and the Participating Organization shall not sue, bring or commence any claim against Douglas College for any loss, cost, liability, damages, claims or expenses arising from the Risks, including to the extent that such Risks arise from the negligent or wrongful acts or omissions of Douglas College or its officer, directors, employees, volunteers or representatives (“Personnel”); and (b) that the Participating Organization shall indemnify and save harmless Douglas College and its Personnel for any loss, cost, liability, damages, claims or expenses that any one or more of Douglas College or any member of its Personnel may suffer or incur as a result of any negligent or wrongful acts or omissions of the Participating Organization or Participating Organization’s Personnel. beSTRONG Training is in the Tri-Cities! And we are so excited to start exploring all the area has to offer with you! Once a month we will be checking out a new park or running route. We'd love for you to join us and best of all, most of the routes will be stroller friendly! Each workout will: Start with a warmup and some strength work.
