14th Annual PMTCC McDermott 3 State Tour | Paradise Bowl Parking Lot

The 14th Annual PMTCC McDermott 3 State Tour, hosted by the Pittsburgh Major Taylor Cycling Club, is set to take place on July 21, 2024, in Pittsburgh. This highly anticipated bicycle tour will kick off at the Paradise Bowl Parking Lot located at Robert Morris University Island Sports Center on Grand Ave. Riders will embark on a picturesque road ride, starting in Southwest Pennsylvania and venturing into the scenic states of West Virginia and Ohio.
Participants can look forward to a variety of breathtaking landscapes, including challenging hill climbs, rolling hills, and winding roads. To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, rest stops and a full lunch will be provided for riders taking on the 62 and 100-mile routes. In addition, SAG support and ride marshals will be available on all routes, following CDC guidelines for mask requirements.
The McDermott 3 State Tour is not only a thrilling cycling event but also a chance to give back. The Pittsburgh Major Taylor Cycling Club is a non-profit organization, and a significant portion of the event's proceeds will benefit the Major Force Youth Cycling Program (MFYCP). Those who are unable to participate in the tour can still support the MFYCP by making a donation at pmtcc.org/donate.
For individuals interested in taking part in the warm-up ride, mark your calendars for July 15th at 9 am. This pre-event ride offers an opportunity to explore the City of Pittsburgh while preparing for the main tour. The warm-up ride will commence at the Second Avenue Parking Plaza.
