Their exceptional works have garnered international recognition, with numerous publications and exhibitions across the globe.
Oleksandra Mykhailova, also known by her artistic pseudonym Mary Jane, has established herself as an exceptional talent within the Ukrainian photography scene. A prominent member of both the MYPH school and collective, as well as the Ukrainian Women Photography Organization (UWPO), her artistic achievements include 25+ exhibitions and fairs, along with the publication of her work in three photobooks. Notably, her latest exhibition, "Light in the Dark," earned a coveted spot in the Top 25 at the prestigious Art Prize festival.
Furthermore, Oleksandra's passion for her craft extends beyond the realm of photography. Camp SCRAP: Animals, Insects, & Creatures is the perfect camp for children who have a passion for animals, mythical creatures, and creepy crawlers. This exciting camp takes place in Ann Arbor at the SCRAP Creative Reuse venue located at 4567 Washtenaw Avenue. From January 3rd to January 5th, children between the ages of 7 and 12 can immerse themselves in a world of imagination and creativity.
During the camp, campers will have the opportunity to explore the limitless possibilities of discarded materials found in our everyday surroundings. They will engage in games, experiments, and create unique and useful projects that incorporate their own artistic ideas. The day will be a blend of both staff-led projects and time for free creation. During this free creation time, campers will get to design their own projects using a wide range of materials available from the SCRAP store and studio.
To make the most of this experience, campers are required to bring a lunch that doesn't require refrigeration, wear closed-toe shoes, and approach the camp with a respectful attitude. The drop-off time is between 9:30-9:45 AM, and pick-up is scheduled from 3:15-3:30 PM.
Additionally, SCRAP provides a limited number of Camp SCRAP scholarships for qualifying families. These scholarships are awarded based on need and availability. If you believe you qualify, you can apply for a scholarship.
