On the first anniversary of the successful "re-listing" of the Li ethnic group's traditional textile dyeing and embroidery techniques, the 5th Hainan Splendid World Culture Week was held in Haikou City from November 28th to 30th, 2025.
Themed "Inheritance, Innovation, and Co-creation of a Splendid World," this year's Culture Week brought together intangible cultural heritage projects in textile dyeing and embroidery from home and abroad. It featured six major sections: an Intangible Cultural Heritage Night, an opening ceremony and intangible cultural heritage-themed fashion show, a traditional textile dyeing and embroidery techniques brand exhibition, a protection, inheritance, and development exchange meeting, a splendid fashion brand sharing session, and a pop-up fashion show in commercial districts, creating a cultural feast with an international perspective.
 During the event, intangible cultural heritage research experts and inheritors from countries including Romania, Malaysia, Slovenia, Indonesia, Laos, and Bangladesh will gather in Hainan to showcase a variety of textile, embroidery, and dyeing techniques listed on UNESCO's Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. These include Romanian women's blouses with shoulder embroidery, Indonesian batik, Malaysian Songkyi brocade, Slovenian shuttle knot lace, Lao community Naga pattern traditional weaving techniques, Bangladeshi Kandani weaving art, as well as traditional Li ethnic group textile dyeing, weaving, and embroidery techniques and Nanjing Yunjin weaving techniques from my country.

Bought the ticket in front of the entrance. It was cloudy and then rainy that day so i could hardly see anything when i reached the topped. Other than the volcano crater, there is nothing interesting. If the weather is bad, i would not recommend you going here as it will be a waste of money. You can also get a free picture at the bus stop once you show that you bought the ticket, but the photograph was not in position and the photographer is so unprofessional. Overall, i feel very disappointed as this attraction is way below my expectations.

Mission Hills Huayi Brothers Feng Xiaogang Movie Town is not far from Haikou Airport and mainly consists of three scenic areas. Having visited all three, I can say that the Nanyang and Fanghua areas were slightly more popular. The Fanghua area deserves praise, which is a plus. The three areas aren&#39;t very large; you can basically see them all in 2-3 hours, and the prices are on the high side.

The Hainan Tropical Wildlife and Botanical Garden has beautiful scenery, with vast green areas that offer a pleasant visual experience. Visitors can drive into different areas to see the larger animals, and there are also walking areas where you can get up close to some of them. Overall, it&#39;s a pretty good place.

At the Hainan Provincial Museum, the detailed two-hour guided tour was unique, setting it apart from other provincial museums. The guide, Ms. Lizhi, was excellent and highly recommended.

Qilou Old Street is well worth a visit. Its upstairs and downstairs corridors offer shade and shelter from the rain, embodying the charm of Southeast Asia and the hustle and bustle of the city. Admission is free, and you can enjoy a meal while walking, so why not slow down and explore? Qilou Old Street embodies the Southern philosophy of life inscribed in its architecture. Entering Qilou Old Street is like opening a damp, warm old diary.
