Chongqing Port Site Park, located in the Ma&#39;anshan area of ​​Nanbin Road, Nan&#39;an District, Chongqing, is a major construction project in Chongqing in 2020, including three major sections: museums, parks, and slow streets. Based on the former site of Lidler &amp; Co., the park protects and repairs historical relics, and regreens the ruins of buildings in accordance with the mountainous terrain, forming a cluster of buildings centered on historical and cultural relics and shaded by mountains and forests. The park shows the historical culture of Lidler &amp; Co., which was established by the Qing government and the British Empire in 1891, including eight historical relics and two outstanding buildings. The project also shows the modernization of the port culture, and shows the characteristics and influence of the port culture in the form of restoration. The history of Chongqing&#39;s port opening can be traced back to the 16th year of Guangxu in the Qing Dynasty, that is, 1890, when China and Britain signed the Yantai Treaty to add special articles. According to this treaty, Chongqing was opened as a trading port. The following year, in 1891, the Chongqing Customs was officially established, marking the official opening of Chongqing and its inclusion in the world capitalist market system, becoming a stronghold for Western powers to invade Sichuan and even the southwest region. However, the Western powers initially opened foreign companies, established factories, mined mines, dumped goods, plundered raw materials, exported capital, etc., all with the goal of controlling the Sichuan and Southwest markets. Britain opened up the Sichuan-Yangtze River waterway and forced Chongqing to open a port, and then used it as a base to achieve its control over the Sichuan and Southwest markets. During this process, Chongqing experienced a difficult history. For example, in 1901 and 1904, Chongqing suffered consecutive severe natural disasters, resulting in many people being displaced and the social economy being seriously affected.

Tickets were easy to use, tied to ID number. The nature view was very spectacular and I get to see the scene from Transformers too. The whole trail has lots of walking and takes about 2.5 hours.

Nice environment.. Very clean also... Went there and saw all the cleaners sweeping all the fallen leaves and scrubbing the floor around the rubbish bin area and the zookeepers cleaning the glass panels in the enclosures. Will definitely go again if I come to chongqing next time.

The panoramic view of the Yangtze and Jialing Rivers in Chongqing at night is breathtaking!

The only downside was that the three of us didn&#39;t know how to get to the pier to board the boat. Because of time constraints, we were forced to pay an extra 60 yuan for directions! Actually, we later learned that the pier was right outside the first floor of Hongyadong!
