In partnership with Indiana Black Expo and Indiana Department of Administration, the Indiana Civil Rights Commission will host the Governor’s Reception on July 15th, 2025 at the Indiana Convention Center in the 500 Ballroom. On behalf of Governor Mike Braun, five African-American Hoosiers and an ICRC employee will be honored for their exceptional efforts across diverse fields—including education, entrepreneurship, and community leadership —at the Awards Celebration. The celebration acknowledges the outstanding achievement of African Americans throughout the State of Indiana. These awards recognize some of the community’s unsung heroes who work tirelessly for the advancement of all Hoosiers.
Join ICRC, IBE, and IDOA in celebration of the winners of the 2025 Governor's Awards.
The event is free and open to the public.
