The Deadline Club Awards recognize the best journalism produced by journalists and media organizations based in New York. Winners compete for a coveted "Rube" statuette (see photo below), designed by legendary cartoonist 
Rube Goldberg
. The statuette, designed in 1968, was Rube's idea of a dead line—shown in three dimensions.
Those winners will be recognized on Thursday, May 15 at the historic and exclusive 
Harvard Club of New York City
, 35 West 44th Street.

Tickets On Sale
Early-bird tickets are $275 for 
Deadline Club
 members, $350 for non-members. Tables for 10 are $3,500. 
Ticket prices increase after midnight May 7: Deadline Club members $350, non-members $425. Table for 10 $4,250.
Reception begins at 6:30 p.m., with dinner beginning promptly at 7:30 p.m.
Headline Conversation
In addition to the presentation of awards, this year's dinner features a conversation with two award-winning journalists: John Dickerson and Maurice DuBois, anchors of the 
CBS Evening News
.
John Dickerson
In addition to his co-anchor role on the “CBS Evening News,” John Dickerson serves as the network’s chief political analyst as well as a senior national correspondent and contributor to “CBS News Sunday Morning.”
Since joining CBS in 2009, he has been the network’s chief Washington correspondent, a moderator of presidential debates, and between 2015 and 2018 the host of the long-running Sunday news program “Face the Nation.”
Dickerson previously covered politics at Time magazine and Slate, where he has been the longtime host of the “Political Gabfest” podcast. He’s the creator of “Whistlestop,” a podcast of presidential history; another podcast, “Navel Gazing,” based on the notebooks he has carried 35 years. He’s also the author of several books, including a personal biography of his mother, Nancy Dickerson, CBS News’ first female correspondent.
Dickerson’s many honors include the Ford Prize for Distinguished Reporting on the Presidency and the David Broder Award for political reporting.
Maurice DuBois
Maurice DuBois brings more than three decades of experience to the “CBS Evening News,” the last 14 years as co-anchor of CBS New York’s evening newscasts.
Throughout his career, DuBois has covered everything from local news to national political conventions and elections, AIDS in South Africa, 9/11 and papal transition at the Vatican. He has moderated debates for New York governor, New York City mayor and Congress. DuBois has reported on a broad spectrum of American life and culture, interviewing numerous newsmakers including “Son of Sam” killer David Berkowitz, music star Cardi B and the Central Park Five.
A Long Island native, DuBois spent seven years at WNBC before joining CBS in 2004 and also worked in television news in Chicago, Sacramento and Seattle.
DuBois has won five Emmys and been recognized with honors from The Associated Press, The New York State Broadcasters Association and The New York Association of Black Journalists, which honored him with its Trailblazer Award.

Central Park is very fun. There are large lawns and many squirrels running around. You can rent bicycles and ride horse-drawn carriages in the park. It is also nice to just walk around. There is a huge children&#39;s playground not far from Columbus circle. Children from all over the world who come to New York come here to play. They can play in the sand and water, and there are slides, swings, and rockeries. It is easy to play for half a day. There are also many people playing on the lawn. Many people there like to throw frisbees. Many families come here for vacation. It doesn&#39;t get dark until about 8:30 in the summer in the United States, so it&#39;s no problem to play in the park for a whole day!

Great experience! Booking of tickets on Trip was easy-received QR codes for entrance into the museum received shortly. Skipped the queue to buy tickets at the museum. Get to go onboard the aircraft carrier and submarine for the first time! Interesting visit!
