Problematique with Isa Medina | Union Hall
Aug 24, 2024 (UTC-5)ENDED
Union
Let's give Brooklyn something to talk about? Absolutely no worries if not though. Isa Medina is a comedian/podcaster who - believe it or not - famously loves to push boundaries (emotionally and comedically). She's a pusher. Like Pusha T or Tina Fey in Mean Girls!! (Isa also went to UVA like Tina Fey, ok mentee alert... Tina? Hello?). Whenever someone asks Isa oh where do you perform your comedy? ... Where do you GET UP? as they say, she's always forced to answer honestly ... kind of all over the place . And by that she means, Manhattan AND Brooklyn, and sometimes Queens. So here she is, back in her stomping grounds of Park Slope Brooklyn to see if jokes that work in other boroughs work with the liberal elite (who she loves by the way!). The point of this show is literally have fun. Ground breaking honestly. Isa will be joined by some of New York's best comics for a night of belly laughs, crowd work, and big ideas <3 See you there bb's Isa Medina is Latina (important to mention up top!). She's a stand-up comedian, actor, writer, podcaster, and single person. She is the co-creator and former host of award-winning Podcast Sounds Like A Cult. Her new podcast, I'm Right You're Wrong, came out in June 2024 and has already ranked Top 70 Video Podcasts on Spotify and featured on Apple Podcasts News and Noteworthy home-page. Isa has performed at Moontower Comedy Fest, Netflix is a Joke Fest, Edinburgh Fringe Fest, SF Sketchfest, NY Comedy Fest and more. She has opened for comics like George Lopez, Marcello Hernandez, and Caleb Hearon. And most importantly, Isa loves you if you love her. with special guests:Jamie Wolf, Sahib Singh, Brittany Carney, Jaboukie Young-White, and Salma Zaky 9:30pm Doors / 10:00pm Show $12 advance / $15 at the door GA (mixed seated / standing) Ages 21+
