Het verhaal van het gezin Hornemann is dusdanig indrukwekkend dat het besef waar dat toe kan leiden, hopelijk een bijdrage levert aan een verdraagzame(re) samenleving. Dit is het verhaal van Flip en Bets Hornemann-Docters en hun zoontjes Edo en Lex uit Eindhoven, een gewoon Joods gezin.
