De Jonge Werther - een spectaculaire voorstelling van violist Arthur Rusanovsky en verteller Michel Krielaars over het leven van een jonge kunstenaar uit de 21ste eeuw. Een zoektocht naar binnen met alle ups en downs die daarbij komen kijken, omlijst door ingrijpende verhalen, gedichten en meeslepende vioolmuziek. J.W. Goethes briefroman Die Leiden des jungen Werthers dient als inspiratiebron. Het lijden van de jonge Werther gaat over zijn onvervulde liefdesrelatie, ontsnapping in de natuur, kwellingen en lijden. Het gaat om het alsmaar proberen, falen, hopen, vallen en weer opstaan. De voorstelling zorgt voor een unieke concertervaring waarbij muziek, literatuur en theater zich samenvoegen. De verteller Michel Krielaars geeft in de rol van Wilhelm (Werthers beste pennenvriend) een interpretatie van het verhaal op de huidige tijd. De violist Arthur Rusanovsky in de rol van Werther reageert op het verhaal van de verteller en speelt daarbij zijn favoriete werken voor solo viool van de componisten, J.S. Bach, H. Wieniawski, F. Kreisler, Ysaÿe en Paganini. Elk muziekwerk heeft een eigen betekenis, hetzij een gevoel, herinnering of emotie dat aan het verhaal verbonden is. Paganini (1782-1840) 24 Caprices voor viool, op. 1 Caprice nr. 24 (a-klein) Arthur Rusanovsky is violist, deel van het TONAListen-management en solist bij de ensembles Trio Rusanovsky en ArteVita waarvan hij ook de projectleider is. Hij studeerde aan het conservatorium van Amsterdam en de Universität der Künste in Berlijn. Hij is prijswinnaar van nationale- en internationale muziekconcoursen, te gast bij internationale muziekfestivals, actief als solist en kamermusicus en geeft optredens in binnen- en buitenland van grote concertzalen tot kleine intieme concertlocaties. Michel Krielaars is journalist en schrijver. Hij was chef boeken bij NRC handelsblad. Tegenwoordig is hij redacteur van de boekenredactie van NRC. Zijn meest recente boek is ‘De klank van de Heilstaat – Musici in de tijd van Stalin’, waarmee hij voorstellingen geeft door heel het land.
