Discover the world of screen acting in London with the "Introduction to Screen Acting (Spring Term)" course at Collective Acting Studio. Led by esteemed acting teacher Paul Harvard, this intensive program runs every Saturday afternoon from 12.15pm to 1.45pm, starting on 18th January and concluding on 22nd February, 2025. Designed for professional actors and those in training, the course focuses on honing the skills, knowledge, and techniques required to deliver exceptional screen performances.
Participants will engage in weekly filming sessions that replicate the intensity and discipline of real on-set experiences, fostering the confidence and resilience needed to excel in front of the camera. Whether you're new to screen acting or looking to enhance your existing abilities, fundamental aspects such as hitting your mark, maintaining continuity, and adapting performances for different shot sizes will be covered.
Drawing from techniques of renowned practitioners like Stanislavski, Meisner, Hagen, and more, the curriculum also integrates valuable insights from successful screen actors and filmmakers. Past attendees of Collective Acting Studio have gone on to work in Hollywood films, Broadway productions, National Theatre performances, West End shows, and popular series on platforms like Netflix, HBO, BBC, ITV, and Channel 4.
