Our hosts Ruth Smith, Karen Ellis and Liz Atkins can't wait to welcome you to REDCAR & CLEVELAND Assist. We are thrilled to be in the Innovation Centre, Vienna Court at Redcar. This one is totally relaxed, no formalities, no business card pushing, just good business conversation. We naturally share ideas and experiences that could lead to potential growth for you or your business. Women actively share positive solid business contacts, Tees Valley is not a big place! Assist champions the idea of Women Support Women #WSW, yes we breathe, work, eat, sleep, repeat this! Why come along... Our informal morning gatherings are a chance to take time away from the office or WFH. You will meet other businesswomen to simply talk business, you may be looking for new contracts or have a product or service that you want to showcase. We like to encourage the 'trade local' ideology. We are big on collaboration and between women, it can work well. Why not use this time to arrange and network with someone you have not seen for a while? Have you thought of perhaps getting in to a routine and come together for your 2025 networking each month? You will have time to chat over a cuppa, the bonus is you will both be surrounded by other Assist'ers, you will be using your time efficently as you build your network circle. What to expect... Spotlight introductions, this is a chance for a short sharp 30 seconds to say Who you are , Where you are from (the business or workplace you represent) and What your 'Ask' is for the day . Followed by some Just Networking as you seek out them key people you want to connect with from the spotlight moments. We want to hear about you, your business and what you offer. Are you launching a new service, looking for new customers, got a event to promote or want to share with us some new ingredients in your handmade products? Come tell us about it we genuinely want to know and are keen to help share your news. Do make a point of listening to the 'spotlighting' of others, perhaps write down the names of who you want to speak with, then use your time wisely as you connect with those in particular have peeked your interest. Or you can just enjoy the company of a room full of women with a positive vibe. When... An hour only, one morning a month, we simply create a space for you to meet other businesswomen and those representing their organisations. You can come on a regular basis and build on getting to know your connections or you are more than welcome as a one-off visitor. Cost to you... A welcomed small donation that goes in to the pot to help us support the Sisterwood project, along with other campagins and allows us to keep the network functioning for Tees Valley women to benefit in the future. We thank you for this donation, we are a not-for-profit organisation and will spend it well on our campaigns and covering our much needed operational costs to function. We are grateful to the business and local community as they welcome us through their doors. Redcar and Cleveland's Active Travel team invites all bike owners to take advantage of a complimentary health check for their bicycles at the Dr Bike event, hosted at Redcar Leisure Centre. Whether you use your bike daily or it has been neglected for a while, this is the perfect opportunity to ensure its optimal performance. The Dr Bike team will conduct a thorough safety inspection, examining all components of your bike. In addition, they will make necessary brake and gear adjustments to enhance your bike's functionality. After the check-up, you will receive a detailed report on the condition of your bicycle. No prior booking is required; simply drop off your bike at the leisure centre between 10am and 2pm on the event day, and it will be ready for collection in the afternoon. It's important to note that the team does not replace or install new parts, but they will gladly provide recommendations for local bike shops and an estimated cost, should any replacements be necessary. For those who require assistance with planning a cycle route to the venue, a request form is available on the Let's Go Tees Valley website.
