Join Diane CC and Andy Martin for a 90-minute cyclocross coaching session at the Linlithgow Cyclocross - Adults Follow up Coaching (3) event. This session is designed as a follow-up for beginners who have attended previous sessions or have participated in 1 or 2 races in the past. The coaching will take place on January 27, 2024, at the West Lothian Cycle Circuit in Linlithgow.
During the session, participants will learn basic dismount and remount techniques, as well as receive guidance on planning tactics for the race the following day. It is important to note that this session is specifically for beginners. For those who have more experience and have participated in several races, it is recommended to sign up for one of Keith Stockers' excellent Master Classes.

Join Diane Clayton Chisholm for 90 minutes of cyclocross coaching at the Linlithgow Cyclocross Beginners Coaching (1) event. This session is specifically designed for beginners who are planning to participate in the race on Sunday, January 27th. The session will take place at the West Lothian Cycle Circuit in Linlithgow.
During the 90-minute session, participants will have the opportunity to experience sections of the actual race course that will be used on the following Sunday. This is an ideal session for complete beginners as it will cover the fundamentals of cyclocross racing and provide guidance on how to navigate the course safely.
For those unable to attend this session, a repeat session will be held on Sunday, January 21st, with Andy Martin as the coach. It's important to note that participants should only attend one of these sessions, not both.
Additionally, on Saturday, January 27th, the day before the race, a follow-up session will be hosted, giving participants a chance to further prepare.
The Linlithgow Cyclocross Beginners Coaching (1) event aims to provide a warm welcome to all participants, regardless of experience level. Whether you're new to the sport or have prior racing experience, this session is open to anyone who plans to join the grassroots racing event on Sunday, January 28th.

Our new strategy will heighten our focus on increasing the number of fun, inclusive and exciting opportunities for women & girls to both participate and progress within our sport. Female participation in cycling is on the up, but we’re not happy with the current rate of progress, and so will use this strategy to make a real step change. Linlithgow Community Development Trust are hosting a brand new Cycle Kitchen with sessions delivered by 1st Step Bikes. Do you need to fix something on your bike and would like some help or advice? Would you like to learn some basic maintenance skills? Are you looking for space to work on your bike? Make sure your bike is ready for 2025 and come along to the Hub to learn basic maintenance, ask for advice or support and perhaps share your skills with others. Each session will be supported by qualified mechanics who will be happy to answer your questions and offer advice from changing a tyre to fixing your brakes and more. Tea and coffee will also be available! There will be 4 bike stands, tools and basic parts available to use. Three of the stands can be booked in advance and one will be available on a drop in basis. Sessions are available to book from January to March 2025. Under 16s will need to be accompanied by an adult. This cycle kitchen was initiated by LCDT’s Active Travel project, supported by First Steps and funded by Paths for All.

Suitable for children aged 4 - 11 years old, this family friendly tour goes through over 400 years of daring Dalyell adventures. From pet sea anemones to fierce royalist warriors the Dalyell family history is truly remarkable. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled for hidden peacocks throughout the tour!
P lease be aware that our collection can be delicate therefore we limit what can be handled on the tour to a minimum. Children should be supervised at all times during your visit.
