Join Lynda Laird for an enlightening workshop on cyanotype printing with botanical toning. Delve into the fascinating world of the 18th century cyanotype photographic process, where you will learn to create stunning prints by exposing light-sensitive paper to the sun's UV rays. Using plants or negatives printed on acetates, you'll have the opportunity to experiment and unleash your creativity. Don't forget to bring your own images!
During the workshop, you'll take a break for a delicious homemade vegetarian meal, lovingly prepared by Lynda. Unlimited tea and coffee will also be provided to keep you refreshed throughout the day. In the afternoon, you'll discover the art of bleaching and toning cyanotype prints. Explore a variety of botanical toners made from plants like rosemary, green tea, and coffee, allowing you to transform the distinctive blue hue of the cyanotype.
All materials needed for the workshop are included in the fee, as well as lunch and unlimited tea and coffee. Don't miss this opportunity to expand your photographic skills and gain new insights into the craft. Hear what a previous participant had to say: "Just wanted to say a huge thank you for yesterday's great workshop! After 40+ years as a professional photographer, it was so wonderful to learn something new about our craft. My photojournalist way of seeing things has been hugely expanded. And the food you provided... delicious beyond words!" - John
