Who for? Our Learn to Ride course is designed specifically for children aged 4-10 years old who would like to learn how to ride a bike with pedals. It is recommended that 4 year old's attend our Balance Bike course prior to attending this course. Course Description The course (4 x 1 hour sessions) will give children the skills and confidence required to ride a bike with pedals independently. The course will teaches children how to: Fit a helmetMount & dismount the bikeBalanceSteerBrakePedalWe will do this by lowering the seats and removing the pedals from the children’s bikes for the first three sessions. This enables children to learn the skills with the reassurance of being able to put their feet on the ground if they lose their balance. This helps them to feel safe which builds their confidence. For the fourth session we put the pedals back on and teach them how to perform the skills whilst also pedaling. This course will be held over the following 4 dates with sessions between 10.45-11.45am on each date. Riders are required to attend all four sessions.
