Experience an unforgettable evening of original spoken word at Beeston Library's Inspire Poetry Festival 24: The Paper Crane Poets Showcase. Immerse yourself in the captivating performances that blend humor, social insights, and raw beauty, delivered by a diverse group of talented local poets. This adult-only event promises an evening of thought-provoking poetry that will resonate with the audience. Join us at Beeston Library on Foster Avenue, Beeston, NG9 1AE, on October 1, 2024. Admission is free, and a licensed bar will be available for attendees aged 16 and above (under 18s must be accompanied by an adult).

Open to University of Nottingham students, our Just Play Festival is a great chance to try some new sports and activities. All taster sessions are free-of-charge and will be run by our friendly sports clubs and University of Nottingham Sport staff. You can attend as many sessions as you wish. All sessions are suitable for beginners! Registration starts at 12.30pm, but you can turn up at any time. Join in the fun and see your little artist's confidence grow! Our team of professional artists have been working creatively to help early years' children explore fascinating materials and take part in stimulating creative activities. They aim to bring to you the very best of their specially designed sessions in this series of 'Little Creatives' workshops in libraries. The always evolving workshops will help your little one to unleash their creative imagination and develop new skills. Come and share in the active, playful, and sometimes messy fun. Suitable for children aged 2-5 years. Session time: 45 mins. Workshops are FREE but places are limited so booking is advised.
