Long Beach City College, So Cal Adaptive Sports, Playmakers, and the LBCC Foundation are thrilled to present the inaugural Long Beach Adaptive Sports Fair. This exciting event is set to take place on April 13, 2024, from 10am to 2pm at the LBCC Liberal Arts Campus - Soccer Fields, located at 3932 Faculty Avenue, Long Beach, CA 90808.
The Long Beach Adaptive Sports Fair promises to be a day full of exploration, as it showcases a diverse range of sports and recreational activities tailored for individuals with disabilities. This event is free to attend, making it accessible to all members of the community.
With a focus on inclusivity, our organizations are committed to coaching and adapting beloved sports and recreational programs to meet the needs of individuals with disabilities. Activities at the fair will include baseball, basketball, dance, martial arts, yoga, boccia, and much more. Attendees are encouraged to choose the activities that align with their interests and comfort levels, as their enjoyment is of the utmost importance.
As non-profit organizations, we are dedicated to serving individuals with disabilities and fostering unity within our region through adaptive sports and recreation programs. We have already touched the lives of countless individuals, including athletes, their families, volunteers, and donors. In fact, we estimate that 7-10% of Southern California residents under the age of 65 identify as living with a disability.
We are grateful to partner with the Long Beach City College Foundation for this momentous occasion. By joining forces, PLAYMAKERS of Long Beach and SoCal Adaptive Sports aim to create an unforgettable experience that celebrates the love of sports, the art of performance, and the joy of sharing this passion with others.
Don't miss out on this incredible event. Mark your calendars for April 13, 2024, and join us at the Long Beach Adaptive Sports Fair. It's an opportunity to come together as a community, promote inclusivity, and celebrate the power of adaptive sports and recreation.
