Come and Learn how to design and carve your very own bespoke ring at the beautiful SIDELINE studio. In the workshop you will be taught a range of techniques and processes demonstrated by Mollie Paling from FLUX jewellery. You will carve and sculpt your own ring out of jewellers wax, using a variety of tools to explore and experiment with mark making, forming shape and surface texture. Don’t worry, everyone will start with a test piece allowing time to familiarise yourself with the material and methods of making. Once comfortable you will start to create your own ring individually inspired by your own ideas and personal taste. The ring can really be as dramatic or simple as you desire. By the end of your session you’ll have a finished wax ring ready for casting. *Extra wide/heavy rings may have additional cost added of approximately £30. After the class the rings are then sent and cast in 100% recycled silver ( or recycled gold if desired, cost difference will be explained) Once cast, Mollie will polish them up in her workshop in Lewes and returned within 3-4 weeks either by collection from FLUX or post to your door. Southern Delware Art Studio Tour Join us on day trip visiting some of Southern Delaware's most prestigious Artists & Artisans. Learn about the artwork & creative process from the artist themself while enjoying each unique studio! We visit 13 artists in all, some of which are located in the same location, and even have time for a leisurely lunch at Good Earth Market in Ocean View. On the weekend of our tour each artist will be participating in the annual Southeastern Delaware Artists Studio Tour which celebrates professional local artists and artisans some of which only open their studios to the public during this exciting annual event. Since 1995 this grass roots event has raised public awareness regarding the quality of art being created in Southeastern Delaware. Yosi is a seasoned performer, and he is delighted to be playing J S Bach's Goldberg Variations at at St Michael's Church in Lewes , following a concert he gave there in early April this year as part of the monthly classical music programme as well as playing at St Anne's Church, Lewes in the summer. He has played at Cafe Yukari countless times, and his repertoire has included the last three Beethoven Sonatas, a concert of music from the Impressionist period including Debussy and Ravel. He made his Lewes debut in early February this year with a concert at Trinity St John sub Castro Church. Last year, he played at Brighton Unitarian Church as part of the Brighton Fringe, as well as a benefit concert for Ukrainian refugees, playing a programme of Ukrainian and Russian composers. He has given concerts at Burgh House, Lauderdale House and Leighton House in London, and performed recitals in City of London churches, such as St Mary Le-Bow, St Mary At-Hill and St Martin within Ludgate. He has also performed Beethoven Concerto no. 3 and Mozart Concerto no. 21 in D minor with the London Charity Orchestra. Yosi has played music to accompany silent cinema at Cafe Yukari, Ealing Classic Cinema, the OSO Arts in Barnes and other educational establishments. He accompanied music to The Temptress, Metropolis and Modern Times in the autumn last year at the All Saints Centre in Lewes as too. He also came back to play Nosferatu at the Brighton Unitarian Church for Halloween. He will be back at the Brighton Unitarian Church on Halloween with music to accompany the silent horror film, the Cabinet of Dr Caligari. With his band Momentum, he plays saxophone/flute and clarinet regularly at the Bull's Head in Barnes and the Pheasantry Pizza Express in Chelsea and Holborn. They performed at the London Jazz Festival last November at George IV in Chiswick, London to critical acclaim. They also made their debut this summer at the Con Club in Lewes this June.
