Please join us for a charity arm wrestling competition to support Connect With a Wish! Calling all competitors! Please join us to participate and watch the best arm wrestlers Hampton Roads has to offer. Competition is open to ALL adults. We will have a women's division and a men's division. Prizes will be awarded to the winners of each division. The number of competitors is capped, so please do not wait to sign up. This event is all about FUN! We encourage all competitors to dress in costume, submit a mini bio of your character, and provide an entrance song. Following the event is a Van Halen cover band, please feel free to stick around and enjoy the show! All proceeds support Connect With a Wish, a local charity that supports children and youth in foster care with resources and support to live well and grow. WELCOME TO MRS. MARTIN'S ART CLASSES~ TUESDAYS @ 4:00-5:00 ~In Mrs. Martin's Art Classes, young artists will create beautiful one-of-a-kind artwork. They will work in a variety of mediums such as oil pastels, chalk pastels, watercolors and acrylic paints. Artists will also learn new art techniques such as upcycling common household items, collaging and building 3-dimensional pieces. And at the end of each class, artists will be able to take home their masterpieces! As of April 1, 2022 the wearing of masks is optional for children attending Mrs. Martin's Art Classes. Pelvic Floor for the Female Athlete Join us at Chic's Beach CrossFit on Saturday November 9th at 10:00 am for Pelvic Floor Workshop! Come dressed ready to move your bodies for this 90 minute educational and interactive workshop! Following an informational session, you will be participating in an engaging workout to enforce all of the strategies learned in the workshop. All experience levels are welcome and encouraged to participate! This workshop will teach you how to effectively address your pelvic floor while exercising and learn about its significance during overload type movements. The pelvic floor is an important piece of “core strength” that is, unfortunately, often times overlooked and misunderstood. It is my mission that women, like you, have the opportunity to learn the basics of the female body as a means to improve your athletic performance and confidence. Join us this November as we open up an important conversation regarding women’s health and introduce you to a new and more functional way of moving. This program has been custom designed for those with physical and cognitive challenges to create an environment of support and inclusion, while focusing on making what seems impossible, possible. If you have someone in your life that is unable to participate in able-bodied activities but still wants to be challenged and push their limits, this is the perfect event to join. Each flyer receives 2 flights (1 minute each) for only $59.95 and a FREE photo & video! Event package includes a pre-flight training session, and all the necessary flight gear (suit, helmet, goggles, earplugs)** A max of 12 participants can fly in a class.
