Hertfordshire Clubs Conference 2024 | Fielder Centre
Sports & Fitness
The Hertfordshire Clubs Conference 2024 will be held at the Fielder Centre in Hatfield on October 11th. Themed around safeguarding and welfare, this year's conference features keynote speakers including former Child Protection in Sport Unit CEO Steve Bocock and Sport England Executive Director Phil Smith. Attendees can participate in two workshops, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Topics covered in the workshops range from sport welfare and volunteering to marketing fundamentals and engaging with disabled individuals. The event aims to provide practical advice and guidance to elevate welfare standards in sports clubs and enhance community engagement. Additionally, workshops will cover important areas such as mental health first aid, safeguarding children, funding opportunities, and the use of online tools like SNAP Sponsorship and Moving More Activity Finder to grow club membership and reach a wider audience. Participation in the accredited Safeguarding & Protecting Children workshop incurs a £35 charge for failure to attend. This conference offers a valuable opportunity for club representatives to gain insights, network, and acquire essential skills to ensure the well-being and success of their clubs.
