Georgia O’Keeffe was more than just flowers. She painted cityscapes, nature, animal skulls, and her beloved New Mexico. Throughout her life she struggled with being pigeon-holed – not only as a painter of suggestive paintings, but as a ‘female artist’ or as the ‘wife’ of the photographer and art dealer Alfred Stieglitz.
