Artist Talk Series: Dispatch Review is a thought-provoking event that aims to explore the relevance and future of art criticism in today's society. This event, organized by Dispatch Review, an independent online arts journal based in Cloverdale, WA, will feature a lively and informal discussion between Co-founders Sam Beard and Aimee Dodds. They will delve into the significance of art criticism, its evolving nature, and how Dispatch Review distinguishes itself from its predecessors. The talk will also touch upon the purpose and role of art critics, inviting participants to actively engage in the conversation and ask their burning questions. The Dispatch Review team, consisting of Sam Beard, Aimee Dodds, and Max Vickery, values precise and concise art criticism that sparks meaningful conversations about art. Dispatches, their spontaneous publications, are meant to be consumed in one sitting. In addition, Dispatch Review plans to release their inaugural anthology in 2024.
