Dakshina Festival 2024 is a three-day celebration of South Asian dance artists. This hands-on workshop is designed for photography enthusiasts at any level who are eager to experiment with the unique colour palette and vintage charm of Polaroid film. Throughout the session, you will learn to carefully arrange and compose still-life subjects, paying attention to light, texture, and composition. We’ll dive into techniques specific to the SX-70, including how to operate the camera and how to work with natural light. This workshop will provide you with the skills to create two to three one-of-a-kind Polaroid images that evoke a sense of nostalgia and artistry.
