Join Lyn Asselta for a 2-Day UART Workshop, titled "Exploring Underpaintings," held at the Chocolate Church Arts Center in Bath, ME. This exciting workshop will take place on Saturday, April 13th and Sunday, April 14th, 2024. Lyn Asselta, a renowned artist and instructor, will guide participants through a variety of underpainting techniques using different mediums and approaches on UART Sanded Pastel Paper.

Underpaintings play a crucial role in setting up the structure and tone of a painting. During this workshop, participants will create small landscapes and explore up to twelve different underpainting techniques on the first day. On the second day, Lyn will lead a series of exercises with color palettes, allowing participants to utilize each underpainting in a unique way. The goal is to enhance color choices and achieve the desired light and atmosphere in their paintings.

UART Premium Sanded Pastel Paper will be provided to each student for the workshop. Lyn Asselta, a Signature Member of the Pastel Society of America, brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the workshop. Her work has been featured in various publications, including the Pastel Journal.

Participants are responsible for their own meals during the workshop. However, the venue is conveniently located near several restaurants and delis. Accommodations should be booked separately if needed.

House No. 1 is a museum (don&#39;t go if you don&#39;t want to go), two houses in the middle have been converted into hotels (very expensive), and the rest are private property. It&#39;s very beautiful when the sun is full~
