Dust off those golf clubs and join the 2nd Annual Glenn Peacher Memorial Golf Outing at Mountain Branch. This event is held in memory of Glenn Peacher, the former President of the Emmorton Recreation Council, who tragically passed away in November 2022. Glenn dedicated over 13 years to serving his community and was involved with various organizations, including the Oriole Advocates. He was also a devoted father, finding time to coach his three sons. To honor his memory and continue his legacy of giving back, his family has organized this annual event to bring people together for a day of golf, laughter, and storytelling. Taking place on Thursday, May 9th, at Mountain Branch Golf Course in Joppatowne, this outing promises a delightful day of golf, delicious food, refreshing drinks, exciting raffles, and endless fun. Education was of great importance to Glenn, and proceeds from the event will fund the Glenn Peacher Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship supports high school graduates who participated in Emmorton Recreation activities and are pursuing further education. Various sponsorship opportunities are available, such as hole sponsors, lunch sponsors, and cart/beer cart sponsors. If weather forces a postponement, refunds will not be provided, but we will work with Mountain Branch to reschedule the event.
