INGRID LAUBROCK - BRANDON LOPEZ - TOM RAINEY Die Saxophonistin Ingrid Laubrock und der Schlagzeuger Tom Rainey, die auch privat als Paar liiert sind, hatten Dutzende von Aufnahmen gemeinsam gemacht. Als die beiden sich 2017 zum ersten Mal mit dem Bassisten Brandon Lopez für einen Liveauftritt im Barbès in Brooklyn trafen, erkannten alle drei Spieler das Potential für die weitere gemeinsame Arbeit. Durch Brandon Lopez, der auf Kooperationen mit Dave Liebman, Zeena Parkins oder John Zorn verweisen kann, erhält die Dreierkonstellation eine neue Balance, das Spiel der Kräfte verändert sich. Grundlage ist dieselbe Wellenlänge und ein ähnliches Gespür für die übergeordnete Form, für Binnenstruktur, Timing, Dichte, Transparenz und Lautstärke. Vom ersten Ton an stimmte die Chemie zwischen ihnen. Das Zusammenspiel der drei funktionierte so mühelos und selbstverständlich, dass es an Telepathie grenzte. Die drei wollen den Schwung halten und den magischen Moment festhalten , schreibt Christoph Wagner in den Liner Notes ihrer CD No es la Playa . SCHULTZE – EHWALD – RAINEY plus HELGE LEIBERG Das Trio SCHULTZE – EHWALD – RAINEY musiziert seit nunmehr neun Jahren regelmäßig über Kontinente und Ozeane hinweg. Hier finden drei starke Solisten zueinander, deren individuelles spielerisches Können sich dem Mit- und Umeinander verschreibt. In der Perfektionierung des sich gegenseitig Raumlassens werden die Zuhörenden Zeugen einer entstehenden musikalischen Gemeinsamkeit wie Beobachter eines entstehenden Gemäldes. Dazu passt natürlich der Maler, Bildhauer und Performer HELGE LEIBERG! Helge Leiberg studierte bei Gerhard Kettner an der Hochschule für Bildende Künste Dresden. Er beschäftigte sich mit der Kombination verschiedener Medien (Musik, Film, Tanz, bildende Kunst). Mit Michael Freudenberg und A. R. Penck gründete er 1979 eine Malerband und begann die bis heute währende Zusammenarbeit mit dem Gitarristen Lothar Fiedler. Nach Repressalien und Druck durch das SED-Regime zog er 1984 in die Bundesrepublik Deutschland, wo er auch durch seine Kunstbücher und durch Buchillustrationen für die Büchergilde Gutenberg bekannt wurde. Arbeiten von Helge Leiberg befinden sich beispielsweise in Museen und öffentlichen Sammlungen wie die Berlinische Galerie, Stiftung Preußischer Kulturbesitz, Kupferstich-kabinett Dresden, Klingspor-Museum und und Getty Museum, New York. . Unter dem Namen 'gamble & hope' tritt Leiberg regelmäßig mit seinen 'Livepaintings' zusammen mit Almut Kühne, Lothar Fiedler und Heiner Reinhardt auf. Herzlich Willkommen zum Slam&Drang! Poetry Slam ist ein modernes und buntes Liveliteraturformat, bei dem Menschen mit selbst verfassten Texten gegeneinander antreten. Wer den Sieg nach Hause tragen darf, entscheidet einzig und allein das Publikum. Nachwuchs ist das Herz dieses wandelbaren Formats und junge Talente brauchen Bühnen. Deshalb heißt Kunst&Krawall alle zwei Monate junge Poet*innen und alle, die zum ersten Mal den Fuß auf eine Slambühne setzen wollen, in der Alten Feuerwache (Marchlewskistraße 6, Friedrichshain) willkommen. Vorab geben die beiden Moderatorinnen Annette Flemig und Birdy ab 15.30 Uhr einen Workshop zum Kreativen Schreiben und Performen. Er besteht aus einer Wechselwirkung zwischen choreografischen Sequenzen und freier Improvisation mit unterschiedlichen Intensitäten. Auf dynamische Bewegungen folgt eine ruhigere Phase, die den Atem in den Fokus rückt und dem Körper erlaubt, das Erlebte zu integrieren. Was Tchekpos Unterricht so besonders macht ist, dass der Körper nicht überfordert wird, sondern dass stattdessen körperlich neue Öffnungen erfahrbar werden, durch die unerschöpfliche Energiequellen aktiviert werden. Bewegung wird so natürlich wie der Atem selbst. Die Verbindung zum Boden wird gestärkt und der Körper findet in den Rhythmen der Musik neue Vitalität. Durch das Zusammenspiel von modernem Tanz mit traditionellen afrikanischen Elementen entsteht ein Stil, der kraftvoll, freudvoll und zugleich elegant ist. Tchekpos Humor, seine Wärme und seine Fähigkeit, Menschen mit unterschiedlichsten Tanz- und Lebenserfahrungen zu verbinden, machen seine Workshops zu einem einzigartigen und inklusiven Erlebnis. Über Tchekpo Dan Agbetou Tchekpo Dan Agbetou ist Tänzer, Choreograf, Tanzpädagoge und Kurator für zeitgenössischen Tanz. Geboren in Benin, Westafrika, erhielt er seine Ausbildung im afrikanischen Tanz in Benin, sowie in Modern- und Jazztanz an der renommierten Alvin Ailey Dance Theatre School und bei Steps on Broadway in New York. In seiner Arbeit verschmelzen die Mythologie seiner afrikanischen Wurzeln mit der Ausdruckskraft des modernen Tanzes und der Eleganz des klassischen Balletts. Sein einzigartiger Stil ist geprägt von der Dynamik des Jazz und den Ursprüngen des afrikanischen Tanzes. Er gründete 1991 die Tchekpo Dance Company und eröffnete 1995 gemeinsam mit Ulla Agbetou das Zentrum DansArt TANZNETWORKS in Bielefeld. Seit 2002 kuratieren sie dort das Tanzfestival Bielefeld sowie die Biennalen Passages (seit 2006) und Artists in Fusion (seit 2013). Tchekpo Dan Agbetou ist international als Tänzer, Dozent und Juror tätig – mit Engagements in Europa, den USA, Asien und Afrika. 2021 wurde er in die Ethikkommission des Dachverbands Tanz Deutschland (DTD) berufen.
