Our instructors speak the participant’s language and speak on their level. Our instructors relay this safety message to our participants and reiterate the importance of helmets and how they can minimize injuries. Participants are split up into groups based on their skills and or what is required to learn. All participants would need their own equipment and would also be required to wear a helmet and closed in shoes. Participants with defective skateboards may not be able to participate. Our facilitators are not able to make repairs to participants skateboards during the coaching session. Participants under the age of 6 will be taken on their ability to understand and follow instructions and to control their apparatus. Key points • Not suitable for 3 wheeled scooters • Participants must be wearing a helmet • Please remember to bring some water and wear sunscreen • Participants must be over the age of 6 • Parents must stay on site if their child is under 12 • Please arrive 15 minutes early to register your attendance • Disclaimer form will need to be signed on the day Freestyle Now coaching workshops are fun, informative and motivational. Presented well and easy to understand. Will definitely recommend. - Anon The right balance of listening and participating... - it was good and fun! - Anon I thought the exercise before lunch was genius - short, fun and a great way to learn something else about everyone quickly. - Creative Arts Consultant The practical aspect, going through each section, was really thorough. Offering realistic advice and clear instructions on how to plan a workshop. The short interactive aspect makes you try it out yourself. - Anon I particularly liked the workshop task - as I was worried about facilitating a workshop but that took the pressure off. - Anon Nigel was great, good life stories and experiences. Gave lots of good info and lots of it. We were not spoon fed, leaving enough for us to research ourselves which I think is important as it will help me learn things that are relative to me. - Artist It was fun and informative. The legally required information was sooo helpful! - Designer It was great to share my ideas and receive positive feedback. - Artist It was really useful to be able to ask questions specifically about my concerns and receive good answers. - Artist Really useful, timeley and thought provoking. Thank you! - Artist Information Source: Nigel Kellaway Workshops | eventbrite

DJ Andy Smith (Portishead) and Nick Halkes (aka Nick Reach Up) drop 80s disco, boogie and proto house, evoking the spirit of legendary NYC clubs such as Paradise Garage and Studio 54. They’ll dip into the rich soundtrack that emerged as the 70s turned into the 80s forming the DNA of today’s club music and mesh the set with the freshest productions, remixes and re-edits that they have sourced or can find! As schooldays best friends Andy and Nick ran a mobile disco together and hunted for bargain 12 inch vinyl in their childhood home town of Portishead near Bristol. At this point they had no idea that Andy would supply beats and tour the world with Portishead before one of the top 100 djs in the world nor that Nick would go on to set up the XL and Positiva labels becoming one of the UK mst respected dance and electronic music industry executives.
