Giovanni Ghizzani, born in 1988, began playing the piano at a young age and attended the Rinaldo Franci Conservatory in Siena. Later, discovering his passion for jazz, he graduated with honors from the Siena Jazz Foundation. He has studied with prominent jazz professionals and has won several awards, including the Audience Award at the Conad Jazz Contest and the prestigious Massimo Mutti Award. In 2018, his group Lost in The Supermarket won the Audience Award at Umbria Jazz, and in 2019 his group reached the finals in the Marsicovetere and Sibiu jazz competitions. He graduated with honors from the G.B. Martini Conservatory in Bologna, specializing in jazz piano with Gregory Burk. In 2020, he won second prize in the Chicco Bettinardi competition and first prize in the Forum Live Jazz. He participated in the filming of the HBO series Succession. In 2021, he was selected for the Barcelona Jazz Master at the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya, where he studied with leading European musicians. Ramón Andrés nos propone un espléndido paseo por la historia de la pintura de los siglos XV-XVIII con la música como armónico hilo conductor. *** Afinar un instrumento, nos recuerda Ramón Andrés, es en cierto modo un intento de fijar en un instante de perfección el eterno vaivén del mundo que nos rodea, un empeño no solo del músico, sino también de tantísimos pintores de todas las épocas. Despacio el mundo es una particular pinacoteca del oído con más de cincuenta obras pictóricas en las que los músicos y sus instrumentos cobran especial relieve, y que a su vez sirven a Ramón Andrés para trazar una personalísima historia de la música, el arte y el pensamiento del Renacimiento y el Barroco con gran sensibilidad y erudición. Un ensayo imprescindible para todo aquel que busca consuelo tanto en la belleza de la música como en la silenciosa contemplación de un cuadro, que Ramón Andrés presentará en Llibreria Finestres acompañado de la editora Sandra Ollo. *** Ramón Andrés (Pamplona, 1955) ha escrito numerosos libros, en Acantilado: Johann Sebastian Bach (2005), El mundo en el oído (2008), No sufrir compañía (2010), Diccionario de música, mitología, magia y religión (2012), El luthier de Delft (2013), Semper dolens (2015), Pensar y no caer (2015), Claudio Monteverdi. «Lamento della Ninfa» (2017), Filosofía y consuelo de la música (2020) —Premio Nacional de Ensayo 2021—, La bóveda y las voces (2022) y Despacio el mundo (2024), además de la edición de Oculta filosofía (2004), de Juan Eusebio Nieremberg. Asimismo, es autor de varios libros de poesía. En 2006 fue galardonado con el Premio Ciutat de Barcelona por su libro Johann Sebastian Bach; en 2015, con los premios Príncipe de Viana de la Cultura y Estado Crítico (por Semper dolens); en 2020 recibió el Premio Nacional de la Crítica de Poesía por Los árboles que nos quedan, y es miembro correspondiente de la Reial Acadèmia Catalana de Belles Arts de Sant Jordi y académico de la Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Fernando. Sandra Ollo (Pamplona, 1977) es licenciada en Filología Hispánica por la Universidad de Navarra. Comenzó su andadura profesional en la Cátedra Félix Huarte de Estética y Arte contemporáneo de la Universidad de Navarra, y en este mismo centro fue profesora de ILCE (Instituto de Lengua y Cultura españolas). En el año 2008 se incorporó a la editorial Acantilado fundada por Jaume Vallcorba. Desde entonces, se dedicó exclusivamente al mundo de la edición y se desempeñó como editora y gerente. En 2014, tras la muerte de Jaume Vallcorba, asumió la dirección de la editorial. Actualmente compagina su labor editorial con su tesis de Master de estudios comparativos de literatura, arte y pensamiento de la Universidad Pompeu Fabra.
