I am very pleased to announce that my sellout K!LLER COUPLES, my romantically themed true crime special, is coming back for 2025. There’s going to be tales you might know, along with some you might not, as we explore why some couples decide to commit the ultimate sin, hand in hand, as true partners in crime, in every sense of the word. Be prepared to be both terrified and entertained as we explore the twisted relationships of some of history's most notorious duos. Including a deep dive into the most infamous of them all: Fred & Rose. Hear the connections between the couple and a famous comedian, a best selling iconic rock band, a 1990s pinup, and even a classic crooner. Get ready for an unforgettable evening that will leave you questioning the boundaries of love, lust, and crime. Don't miss out on this thrilling mix of comedy and true crime that's sure to keep you on the edge of your seat! Tickets will be available only from EventBrite: https://strangebritain.eventbrite.com Your Host:Adrian Finney is a storyteller based in Sheffield, known for his engaging and often humorous approach to the strange and spooky history of the city and wider Britain. He is closely associated with Strange Britain, the name under which he runs events including the Strange Sheffield Ghost Tours and the Voyage for the Damned - A Ghostly Trip Down The Sheffield & Tinsley Canal. As a storyteller, Adrian delves into ghost stories, local legends, true crime, and the weird, hidden history of the areas he covers. His style is noted for blending historical facts with humour, sometimes dark humour, to create entertaining and memorable experiences for his audience. In addition to his live events, Adrian Finney is also an author, having written a series of books under the Strange Britain title that explore paranormal and unusual tales from across the British Isles, with a particular focus on Sheffield. His work reflects a deep passion for the weird and the strange, which comes through in his storytelling. Information Source: Strange Britain | eventbrite

Cycling Sports & Fitness
A leisurely family friendly cycle ride using trailer accessible paths and quiet roads. We'll start and finish from Nottingham Central Library (meet in front of the main entrance, see Google pin here). We'll be heading to Highfields Park on University Boulevard where we can have a cuppa by the lake. We'll be out for 1-2 hours and we'll go at your pace, with plenty of time for snack stops. This ride is suitable for all abilities and we welcome those who'd like to gain cycling confidence. We particularly want to support mums and non-binary parents to cycle with their children, but we recognise that sometimes having someone else there to support you can be really helpful, so this event is open to all genders. Whether this is your first time riding in a while, or with children, or you just want to get out and meet others, we welcome everyone. The ride will be led by Emily and Abi, experienced ride leaders and first aiders, who take a patient and inclusive approach to cycling. This event is part of Cycling UK’s Big Bike Revival project. We will be collecting names and email addresses of participants to share with Cycling UK who will survey participants after the event. Survey responses help show the benefit of free support for cycling, helping to provide evidence to funders which in turn helps fund more free events.
