But while this offers convenience we can often lose the ability to connect with others in a way that fulfills us. This brave new world is changing how we connect with each other. The quality of physical social interactions are declining and more fleeting than ever. Since COVID many of us have found it challenging to find others that might want what we want: a deeper,more authentic connection with another human being. So Deeper Connections Social Mixers are a monthly run event where the focus is to create a community of people who are prepared to interact and show up authentically: with the aim to increase their social connections and make them count as deep and meaningful.....and of course, fun as well! So if part of your goals for 2025 is to: Increase your circle of friends Find your significant other or someone to date Meet people who will support you through whatever stage of life you are going through Maybe you are new in the UK and would like to connect with people where you can practice your English and start feeling part of the country and culture Or just meet people to network with for personal or professional reasons. If so, then this monthly run event might be for you .. The only requirement to attend is that you are willing to meet new people in ways that foster a deeper connection. WHO ARE THESE MONTHLY MIXERS SUITABLE FOR A ND WHERE ARE THEY BEING RUN ? These monthly mixers are open to all adult men and women of all ages : regardless of whether you are socially anxious or a social butterfly,single or attached,if you have many friends, few or none, or if you are teetotal or a social drinker or regardless of whether you have a diet with no restrictions or you have specific food requirements....you are all welcome!(please feel free to contact me if you have questions and/or specific requirements and I will do my best to address and accommodate them). We will come together every month in a different pub, bar, cafe or restaurant in or around greater London. The venues will differ each month from cool bars,interesting coffee shops to quirky restaurants, or cosy pubs. You are guaranteed one thing: every month we will be meeting up at a new venue. This month's event location will be in Carshalton,South London . (The meet up point has been listed where we will all convene and then after 10 minutes move to the event venue which will only be disclosed on the day to attendees that have paid and turned up). The mixers will run at different times every month, so offering flexibility to most. So one month we could we getting all glammed out for an elegant cocktail bar, while another month we could be getting together for a casual afternoon meet up... You can RSVP to attend once or every month, or whenever you feel in the mood to attend. HOW WILL THESE MIXERS WORK? It’s hard to meet people these days.The social disconnect we all feel is real. Sure, there are ways to increase the quantity of your connections – dating apps, remote meeting software, traditional networking events. The goal for these monthly events is to provide a more personable alternative that feels less impersonal and transient. It is about building community. Join Carshalton Choral Society at Carshalton All Saints for a lovely evening of song and music. The highlight of the evening will be our performance of A Little Jazz Mass by Bob Chilcott.
