What the Event Is: This will be a night of fun, laughter, and ridiculousness as 15 people take the stage to pitch their single friend to an audience of (mostly) single people. How We Found Our Pitches: We asked our audience to tell us about their single friend, with the opportunity to pitch their single friend LIVE infront of 150+ people. What to Expect: 15 people will share a 4-6 minute slide deck (hence the 'deck' part of our event title) to a live audeince. After the presentations, the entire crowd will mix and mingle over drinks, games, and maybe even a little live matchmaking. How The Audience Will Be Involved: If you see a single who is pitched on stage that you want to date (or if you think you have the perfect friend for them) you can virtually raise your hand and submit yourself (or your friend) to go on a date with them. You can do this with as many of the singles you like. Their bestie that pitched them, will review all of the interested folks and find the best date for their friend. More details on how to 'virtually raise your hand' will be revealed at the event. Information Source: Love In the City | eventbrite

Join us for an unforgettable evening of shame-slaying and hip-swaying with the chart-topping drag queen Flamy Grant! Flamy will join us for the final night of her “Hell or Highwater Tour” in support of her sophomore album, Church. Doors Open: 6 PM Show Starts: 7 PM It’s no accident that Flamy’s drag name is an homage to Amy Grant, the undisputed queen of Christian music and 90s pop artist. Much of Flamy’s music centers on the queer Christian spiritual journey, telling stories of resilience and recovery from religious trauma in a world where LGBTQ+ people are frequently ignored by, harmed in, or ejected from religious spaces. Part concert, part conversation, Flamy will spend some time discussing faith, identity, and belonging with Rev. Emily McGinley, Senior Pastor of City Church San Francisco. Then, with a bold lip, a big lash, and a blistering voice, Flamy will carry us away to a church you may have never known in a soulful, uplifting musical set. Invite a friend, neighbor, or loved one for this inspiring night of music, dialogue, and community! Flamy’s Bio: Award-winning and Billboard-charting artist Flamy Grant is a shame-slaying, hip-swaying, singing-songwriting drag queen from western North Carolina. Her 2022 debut record, Bible Belt Baby, reached the #1 spot on the iTunes Christian Chart (the first drag performer to achieve this feat), was nominated for Best Pop Album at the San Diego Music Awards, and was named one of the Top Ten Queer Country Albums of 2023 by Rainbow Rodeo Magazine. Her single “Good Day” also debuted at #20 on the Billboard Christian digital sales chart, while her recently released sophomore album “CHURCH” has already reached #8 on the iTunes Country Chart. Flamy has been nominated for 2025 Artist of the Year at the International Folk Music Awards and is a winner of the 2023 Kerrville Folk Festival New Folk Competition, a 2023 QueerX Award nominee for Best Drag Artist, and a 2023 Queerty Award nominee for Drag Royalty. At the intersection of relentlessly catchy melodies and bold, exploratory production sits David De La Garza aka DLG. , an indie artist with genre-bending tendencies and a dedicated fanbase. Already having amassed 50M+ streams and industry acclaim, his upcoming debut album has him poised for a breakout year. The sonically adventurous project is a bittersweet reflection on his love and loss, coupling a soulful voice (reminiscent of Mac Miller), with powerful, anthemic production in the same lane as Tame Impala and other indie giants. Born in Austin but now living in LA, DLG. is a homegrown talent in every sense. Even the artwork surrounding his debut album was created with his mother, an award-winning painter and sculptor in her own right. With his roots taken hold and his career flourishing, DLG. is being steadily solidified as an artist you simply need to be paying attention to . Information Source: POPSCENE | eventbrite

Join us for Ferry Flicks at the Fort Point Beer Garden the first four Fridays in May at sundown! This season of Ferry Flicks is dedicated to “cult classics” – nostalgic, slightly unconventional movies that never get old. FERRIS BUELLER’S DAY OFF Ferris Bueller has an uncanny skill at cutting classes and getting away with it. Intending to make one last duck-out before graduation, Ferris calls in sick, "borrows" a Ferrari, and embarks on a one-day journey through the streets of Chicago. On Ferris' trail is high school principal Rooney (Jeffrey Jones), determined to catch him in the act. Rating: PG-13 We’ll kick the evening off around 7pm with Drag Bingo hosted by Rollin’ With the Homos, and the movie will begin at sunset–around 8pm. Tickets include picnic table seating inside the Fort Point Beer Garden and snacks or draft beer (as indicated per ticket). Additional food & bev will be available for purchase all evening, and Fort Point will be offering a “late night happy hour” with $5 draft pours throughout the movie . Seating is limited, so register early! Know before you go: - The screen will be located on the FERRY BUILDING NORTH PLAZA, perfectly viewable from the Fort Point Beer Garden. - It gets chilly on the SF waterfront, so be prepared! Bring jackets and blankets to stay cozy. - You’re welcome to purchase additional snacks and candy inside the building before the show. (Check individual shop hours here .) Cycling Sports & Fitness
It's never too late to learn to bicycle! Instructors will work one-on-one to assist participants in learning the basics of balancing, starting, stopping and steering a bike, as well as proper helmet fit and adjustment. Most people learn to ride their bike while taking the class, but even if they don't, they will leave with tips to continue teaching themselves to ride. The first step will be balancing on your bicycle; instructors will first remove the pedals and lower the seat enough so that you can put both feet on the ground. You'll learn balance by taking longer and longer steps until you're "gliding." Then, once you've got that down, we'll show you how to turn confidently and stop smoothly. Once you feel comfortable, we'll reinstall the pedals, so you can incorporate pedaling and learning to steer, and how to steer precisely in circles and figure-eights. You'll finish your lesson by learning how to shift gears so you can handle hills and prepare for more city riding. Please be sure you can sit on your bike seat with both feet flat on the ground. All participants MUST either bring a bike or rent a bike in advance. Bikes will not be available for rental at the class. If you don't have a bicycle, you will be contacted before the class with information on how to rent one. If you are unable to afford a bike rental (about $25), we have a limited budget to cover bike rentals for students. Please contact Qamuuqin (info below) about covering the cost. Please contact Qamuuqin Maxwell (qmaxwell@sfbike.org/‪415-323-0597) with any questions about this program. This class is part of the SFMTA’s Bicycle Safety Education program, presented in partnership with the San Francisco Bicycle Coalition. This project is made possible by the San Francisco County Transportation Authority through a grant of Proposition L Local Transportation Sales Tax Funds.
