WHAT IS PASSING THROUGH? “In the making of movement compositions, David Zambrano focuses on creating and developing the dynamics for complex systems to present leadership in the form of a group web. In science, cells do not need a protein leader to create life. Neither does the brain need one protein leader to create a thought. With this in mind, Zambrano feels that movement needs no leader in creation. The “passing through” takes students through various exercises to manifest that same philosophy. The group will create dynamics that will be flexible, complex, getting the group to fit tight together, yet always keeping doors open for the unpredictable. Welcome to Sail To Hope Music&Art Afternoon! Sail To Hope art exhibition by visual artist Esra Kizir Gokcen is proud to host this amazing music afternoon with grammy winning jazz saxophonist Tim Garland at 54 The Gallery. An opportunity to hear a 45 minute solo set from celebrated saxophone virtuoso Garland in this intimate setting surrounded by much of the art that inspired the music. Basing these atmospheric improvisations upon the themes from his Moment Of Departure album, the afternoon will also include a short artist talk celebrating the audio / visual collaboration (funded by Arts Council Of England ), Q&A and free refreshments.
