Stone To Silver - Writing Night at Zweiners Bar Stone to Silver is a writing event inspired by a 'Drink and Draft' event series in New York. We want to create this opportunity for writers, often working in a solitary environment, to practice their craft with others, collaborate, and hang out. Writing, for us, is a form of magic, an alchemical process that transforms written and oral languages into wells of new understandings, spaces to share and vast expanses for experimentation. Konzertmeister und Prof. an der Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Wien. Frühzeitig mit dem Violinspiel beginnend, wurde er als 15-Jähriger in die Meisterklasse von Werner Scholz an der Musikhochschule „Hanns Eisler“ Berlin aufgenommen und erwarb sich einen Ruf als aufstrebender Künstler. Bereits während seines Studiums wurden ihm Konzertmeisterstellen in Berlin und Dresden angeboten. Dem Rat seines Lehrers folgend, entschied er sich stattdessen, als substituierender Tuttist erste Erfahrungen an der Staatsoper Unter den Linden zu sammeln. Nach einem einstimmig gewonnenen Probespiel wurde der 22-jährige Student zum jüngsten 1. Konzertmeister der Staatskapelle Berlin gewählt. Er hat sich ein umfangreiches Repertoire erworben, welches neben der Violinliteratur von Barock bis Moderne, den Zyklen aller Sinfonien von Beethoven, Brahms, Schumann, Mahler, Bruckner und vielen anderen sinfonischen Werken auch über 50 Opern und Ballette einschließt. Gastspiele mit der Staatskapelle Berlin unter Otmar Suitner, Daniel Barenboim und Christian Thielemann führten ihn in viele Konzertsäle der deutschen Kulturlandschaft, die meisten europäischen Musikzentren, in den Nahen Osten, zu den bedeutendsten Sälen Asiens sowie nach Nord-, Mittel- und Südamerika. Seit über 40 Jahren widmet er sich den nachkommenden Generationen. In my music studio, we will learn how to play together- using the traditional Brazilian Batucada music: We will start with an introduction- briefly talking about the art form and getting inspired using some representative band examples, after which we'll jump right into learning how the band works and what it is made of, learn how to play the different percussion instruments, how they interplay with one another, how to follow the leader of the band and react to others, and some general musical terms and concepts along the way. By the end of the workshop we will play a full musical piece with all its different parts, start to finish, putting into practice everything we have just learned. Ihr Debütroman MEIN BRUDER (2021) als erster Teil einer Trilogie wurde für den renommierten schwedischen Augustpreis nominiert und in zehn Länder verkauft. 2023 erschien WUNDERKIND. 2021 übernahm sie den Staffelstab für die Fortsetzung der Millennium-Trilogie und hat seitdem mit VERDERBEN und VERGELTUNG zwei Bände in der Reihe veröffentlicht. Eine Veranstaltung des Schwedischlektorats am Nordeuropa-Institut der Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin in Zusammenarbeit mit der Schwedischen Botschaft und mit Unterstützung von Swedish Arts Council.
