New Zealand as a country is a bit more on the medium-size both in land area and in human population. However, it punches far above its weight in a few different things, including sheep population, kiwifruit exports, and wine production. As a store that focusses on selling wines rather than kiwifruit, mutton, or wool, we’re mostly interested in the wines bit. Sauvignon Blanc, particularly from the Marlborough region on the northeast of the South Island, is among the best-known wines from New Zealand. However, there’s a lot more to New Zealand than just one grape variety and region! It’s closer to about 40 grape varieties and 10 regions. Come to Metro Liquor tonight and experience some of the wines that New Zealand has to offer! Information Source: Metro Liquor Stores Saskatoon | eventbrite
