Exeter Life Drawing offers an engaging and accessible pay-as-you-go life drawing class. Participants can immerse themselves in a relaxed and untutored session, perfect for all skill levels. Workshop One - Art in the Age of AI Generation is an upcoming event that will take place in Exeter at the Innovation Centre on December 5, 2023. This workshop aims to creatively explore AI image generation and painting in response to scientific research questions. The day will begin with a delightful coffee and pastries session from 10 to 10.30 am, courtesy of CDT in Environmental Intelligence. Following that, there will be a short presentation showcasing examples of artists and scientists who have utilized image generation tools for their visual research and public-facing work. This will be followed by a group discussion on the role of image generation in defining art and an artist. The event will also feature an online presentation from contemporary artist, Theo Ellison, from 11.30 am to 12 pm. The practical workshop, scheduled from 12 to 1 pm and 1.30 to 3 pm, will allow participants to generate a series of AI-generated images based on their scientific and artistic research using tools like Mid-Journey and Dali. Furthermore, these images will be further developed through drawing, painting, and collage. Lunch will be provided from 1 to 1.30 pm, courtesy of CDT in Environmental Intelligence.
