Join the Arts Council of Fayetteville | Cumberland County for a special event called Corn Husk Dolls Make and Takes. This free hands-on event is part of the Still Here, Still Native Exhibition series and will take place on November 19, 2023. Visitors will have the unique opportunity to learn about, create, and even take home their own corn husk dolls. In addition to the doll-making activity, there will be a one-hour lecture and presentation by Dr. Suzanne Cross on the topic of residential schools. Dr. Cross, a renowned artist featured in the Still Here, Still Native Exhibition, will also have her artwork on display in the Main Gallery. The lecture will be held from 2 pm to 3 pm and is suitable for all ages, as there will be no graphic content.
