Join us for an exciting three-day workshop dedicated to the art of trouser making, where you will have the opportunity to create your own pair of trousers using a pre-made pattern.
On the first day, immerse yourself in the world of sewing as you familiarise yourself with a variety of sewing machines, including both flatbed and overlock machines. This hands-on session will focus on essential techniques, including sewing straight lines and mastering the threading and operation of each machine. You'll gain confidence in your skills as you experiment with different stitches and settings.
On the second day, we will concentrate on the practical assembly of your trousers. We will guide you through essential techniques, including how to sew a fly front. You will also learn how to finish the waistband and hem, ensuring that your trousers have a refined and polished look.
What You’ll Learn:
Day 1: Foundations of Industrial Sewing
Understanding the anatomy of industrial sewing machines.
Safe operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of common issues.
Threading, bobbin winding, and mastering stitch tension on a flatbed.
Practising speed control and precision for professional-quality results.
Practising straight lines, curves, and corners for precision sewing.
How to do a lay plan to reduce fabric waste
Cutting the trousers
Days 2 and 3: Constructing the trousers
Adding finishing details such as seams, collar, placket, fly front, buttonholes, and buttons.
Stitching the waistband and adding the darts.
Hemming the trousers.

The Tower of London is an ancient castle with a very large interior. We spent 5 hours visiting it with a Chinese audio guide. The British royal crown is stored here and it is really beautiful, but it is a pity that we cannot take photos of it. There are some free-roaming ravens raised in the castle, which are considered the castle&#39;s mascots and are quite interesting.
