Painting: All Levels Course Overview:
Our Painting class is open to anyone aged 16 and above who wishes to explore or deepen their skills in painting, regardless of experience level. Whether you’re picking up a brush for the first time or looking to enhance your techniques, this class offers a supportive and inspiring environment where you can develop your artistic voice. You'll learn foundational techniques, experiment with different mediums, and explore the interplay of colour, light, and composition. Teaching Approach:
Each week, you’ll tackle new themes and concepts, from still life and landscapes to abstract and figurative art. Our experienced instructors will guide you through the creative process, offering personalised feedback and practical tips to help you build your confidence and technical skills. The sessions are designed to both challenge and inspire, encouraging you to push the boundaries of your creativity. What You'll Learn:
By the end of this 10-session course, you will: Understand the principles of colour theory, composition, and perspective.Experiment with various painting techniques and mediums, such as acrylics, oils, and watercolours.Develop your ability to capture light, texture, and mood in your work.Build confidence in your artistic expression and develop your own painting style.Prepare a selection of your paintings for display in a group exhibition.Required Resources and Costs:
We provide easels. Participants should bring their preferred painting materials, including canvases or paper, brushes, paints (acrylics, oils, or watercolours) and palettes. Fee: £96.60 for 10 sessions of two hours each, from 15th January to 19th March, including participation in a group exhibition.
