“Move in colors” - Dance & Painting workshop is a series of artistic exploration merging movements with colors. We - Lavia and Elsa - wanted to provide a space where you can explore and express your creative and intuitive side, embracing chaos and imperfection, to let your light shine bright! Through different movements and art invitations, each event focuses on a different theme: musicality, emotions and love for the 3 first workshop, organized at C*SPACE Berlin. We also explored the themes of identity, body awareness and migration, surrounded by artworks in the gallery Under the Mango Tree. And we ended the 2024 series with two workshops in a park, exploring our relationship with Nature and the concept of Letting go. This year, we come back with a 2 parts workshop about our place in the world: “FEEL & ACT”. The first workshop will explore our different types of sensibility and how it can be a strength in the world! And the second workshop will dive more into one of the strengths of sensibility: our intuition, that allows us to live a life more freely and aligned to our own needs. Part.1: SENSIBILITY - how to understand and live with our own sensibility Part. 2: INTUITION - how to develop our intuition in order to act true to ourselves 📣❤️🌀🇨🇴 Both of them are supporting a cultural and artistic association “ArteSpiral” from a rural village in Colombia, where Elsa (co-organizer) realised a volunteering work last January. Below you can find information about the 2nd workshop. Read more about the 1st workshop, scheduled on the 22nd of June, here. Hope to see you there! <3 Details about this workshop: This workshop is designed to create space for our intuition to emerge and be expressed as a guide to refer to in the world. It’s a time to listen attentively to the answers we have inside and develop an attitude of proactivity in our own life, trusting our inner guidance. Through various invitations of movement, meditation, painting, and writing, we will gently interact with our environment, our inner sensations, and the respectful and caring people around us. These creative expressions will help us welcome our intuition to emerge in order to free yourself from the gaze of others, from society's moral codes, from impositions that don't make sense to us. Let’s be more independent and more aligned with a life that is good for us and for society! Don't miss the chance to come by and share this beautiful experience with all of us! <3 🤗 Everybody is welcome, no prior experiences with dancing or painting required. About the artists: Lavia Lin Lavia began painting at the age of 7, from childish doodles, fairy tales to dream-like worlds, her hands were always dipped in paints and holding crayons. In the years of exploring, searching and finding her artistic expressions, her art has always been colourful. Growing up in the family-owned Live Music Bar ‘’House of Blues & Jazz’’ in Shanghai, music became an essential part of the memories of Lavia’s upbringing. From live concerts to recorded music, music fascinates her, in the flowing movements of tunes, melodies and rhythm; the art of improvisation in jazz; and in the harmony of soloists conversing with each other. Her love for music has become her artistic inspiration. She uses colours, brushstrokes and textures to mirror the emotions, memories and imagination from listening to music. Through her art, Lavia experiments in ways how music and visual arts interact and explores the meaning of “imagining music”. An important aspect of Lavia’s art is the action, ‘the moment of creation’, namely live painting. She enjoys the direct interaction with music, and creates visual recordings at concerts. Lavia has performed with international music artists in different genres ranging from jazz, ambient, improvisation, original singer-songwriter to classical music, with the aim of bringing together different cultures by connecting visual arts and music. https://www.instagram.com/deepintheblueblau/ https://www.lavialinart.com/ Elsa Rousson Elsa is convinced that everybody can dance. For her, dancing is about feeling the rhythm first, and translating it into movements. No needs to create and learn complicated choreography - even though she also enjoys it - but more importantly sensing our inner flow. She started her dance practices with modern jazz classes from 5 to 11 years old, and had fun creating her own choreographies, based on the songs’ lyrics, story and melody. Growing up, she joined different dance groups, going from hip hop to zumba. The performances and team spirit present developed her cooperation skills as well as some rigor and perseverance to achieve her goals. Later, she explored the couple dance universe, starting with rock n’ roll, her parents being her first teachers. She continued with initiations to ballroom dances such as waltz, paso-doble, tango and cha cha cha. In her years living in Spain, she delved into the latino world of bachata, cumbia and salsa, learning at the same time about the historical background of the dances and their cultural importance. When she arrived in Berlin in March 2023, she discovered the Brazilian couple dance called Forró and fell in love with the songs and the community. At the same time, she started to regularly practice a more conscious and spiritual dance called Biodanza. Her curiosity for the relation between the mind and the body grew, as she explored deeper connections with herself and others while dancing. In 2024, she joined a Musical theater amateur group in Berlin, and now keeps on exploring cultures through practices such as Capoeira, Bollywood, or Hawaiian dances. In 2025, she had the chance to realize one of her dreams: going on an immersive trip in Colombia and Brasil, to experience life with locals, learn about their cultures and volunteer a few weeks teaching English to families. Over there she could learn about the roots of dances like Cumbia, Merengue, Mapale, Frevo or Samba, by moving and talking with locals. She has always loved to share her passion for dancing around her, in a playful and respectful way, and is looking forward to doing it during this workshop! https://www.instagram.com/elsa.n.motion/
