Guests will have the opportunity to enjoy live music by Grace Sorenson, indulge in complimentary drinks, and show their support for the local community, with proceeds benefiting Operation Hydration ATX.
This unique event is hosted by atxGALS, Austin's largest local women and nonbinary artist collective, providing a one-of-a-kind setting to shop over 200+ original works by emerging women artists and thousands of prints. The collective offers a wide range of artistic styles, including abstract, figurative, landscape, mixed media, collage, and watercolor, ensuring there's something for everyone to love.
Ahn Hee Strain, an abstract painter based in Austin, draws inspiration from nature, experiences, and the rhythmic flow of energy. Her artwork aims to convey movement, recovery, and a calming energy that resonates with viewers. Danika Ostrowski, on the other hand, creates en-plein-air and studio work, capturing the essence of photographs, sketches, and memories. She is a passionate advocate for the preservation of public lands and uses her art to raise awareness and funds for conservation efforts.
Grace Sorenson is a rising star in the Austin music scene, known for her talents as a singer, songwriter, and dancer. She has already achieved significant success in her young career, including opening for Diana Ross and accumulating over 500k organic streams on her single "Digits."
This event will also support the LOVE THY NEIGHBOR: OPERATION HYDRATION ATX initiative, which provides clean water to unhoused residents in Austin. By attending The Cathedral August Open House, you'll not only have a memorable evening but also contribute to a worthy cause.
