Join nonbinary poet Jennifer Conlon at the Taking to Water Poetry Workshop in Asheville, NC, where they will read from their debut collection and host an inspiring writing workshop. Taking place at Firestorm Books on December 7, 2023, this event is a unique opportunity to delve into Conlon's debut poetry collection, which explores themes of gender questioning and the resilience of trans and nonbinary youth in environments that restrict their growth.

Conlon will provide all necessary materials, including writing utensils and a specially prepared handout. The workshop will be centered around a writing prompt taken from the pages of Taking to Water. Once participants have completed their writing, they will be invited to share their work in an open mic format, allowing for vulnerability and celebration.
